Mercury Fur launches one of the most extreme scenarios possible. In a post-apocalyptic atmosphere, people barely cope with reality, normalising the abnormal. A gang of teenagers, united by love and sick necessity, have learned to survive by distributing hallucinogenic butterflies and throwing special parties for wealthy opportunists who would pay anything to star in the darkest fantasy. An afternoon lived against the clock exlores topics considered taboo in a controversial and raw style punctuated with dark humour - drugs and human addiction, memory and language degradation, paedophilia, torture as entertainment, generational trauma and love in LGBTQ+ relationships. At the end of the day, the sunset is reflected in the ruins of a shattered civilization.
